City & Guilds e-Quals: 7262 (Now closed for candidate registrations)

These qualifications are now closed for candidate registrations but are open for certification until September 2010.

e-Quals offers different routes into the IT world, both for the experienced IT professional wanting to update their skills and for someone who just needs to improve their word processing.

There are three standard routes:

Computer User (Levels 1, 2 and 3) is for those who need skills in word processing, using the internet, PowerPoint presentations, and using databases.

Software Development (Levels 2 and 3) is for those wishing to develop or improve skills in programming, software design, analysis and testing.

Systems Support (Levels 1, 2 and 3) is for those wishing to develop a career in supporting IT systems, from basic customer support to advanced network management.

You can also choose to pick out individual units to create mini-courses. In addition, you can use Microsoft or CompTIA certificates as part of these qualifications.
