This QCA-approved Higher Professional Diploma is suitable for people who work in a variety of creative businesses including fashion, interior decoration, ceramics, stitched textiles, stained glass, floral design, soft furnishings, upholstery, furniture design, 3D craft and design for wood, 3D craft and design for metal, decorative plasterwork and stonework. Learners are assessed by assignments that help to demonstrate skills and knowledge including design, production, marketing and business skills. It is intended that this qualification could form the first part of a related foundation or honours degree. Learners could also progress to the Master Professional Diploma in Strategy & Development at Level 7 which can be achieved in a creative arts context.
