This qualification is designed for learners in the UK Cervical Screening Programmes - either in NHS or NHS contracted laboratories. It allows a learner to develop and practise the skills required for cytology screening, as either a trainee cytology screener, or as a biomedical scientist working in the NHS Cervical Screening Programme. By developing knowledge and practical skills a learner can use this City & Guilds qualification to demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) in their role.
