This level 4 management qualification which includes the broad range of management skills is clearly based in the context of care services for children and young people. It is designed for managers now regulated through the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) in England and the Care Standards Inspectorate (CSIW) in Wales.

It is aimed at individuals who are responsible for the day to day running of residential services for children and young people. It is suitable for anyone who has a broad range of management skills working in a residential child care setting. It reflects the varied size, nature and organisational setting of child care services and the diverse roles of the manager. It will help managers prepare for and meet the emerging regulatory requirements in children and young people care services.
