The Level 2 Certificate in Gardening is a centre-based qualification covering 125 guided learning hours, taken full-time or part-time or through distance learning. Candidates take five units chosen form a range of fifteen. Units 1-14 are assessed written papers, unit 15 involves practical assessment.

The Certificate is endorsed either Certificate in Gardening or Certificate in Gardening (Practical).
