This award is to help both private sector and public sector security officers develop their skills and prepare for the constant challenges they will face in their role. Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, anyone working as a Security Guard industry in the United Kingdom needs to hold a Licence to Practise from the SIA and in order to obtain this Licence, you will need to hold a qualification approved by the SIA.
