Computerised Accounts - QCF (No. 8989 )

QCF credits : 3, 4, 8

These qualifications are available at levels 1-3. They are designed for those wanting to enter or progress in the field of computerised accounts. They can help learners to demonstrate competence in the practical use of computerised accounts software to produce accurate, professional and well presented accounts employing an appropriate range of accounting activities. 

Areas covered at Level 1 include:

  • being able to create accounts
  • processing accounting information in respect of the sales and purchase ledger
  • understanding how to use batch control sheets
  • being able to produce accounting reports such as customer activity reports and supplier details reports.

Areas covered at Level 2 include:

  • processing accounting transactions
  • producing customer and supplier documentation
  • producing reports such as aged creditor analysis and sales day book summaries for management purposes.

Areas covered at Level 3 include:

  • interpreting and processing both routine and non-routine transactions, together with the production of accounting reports such as a profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.

The Specialist Tutor Sage Files for Levels 1-3, included below under Related Documents, should be downloaded using Winzip or a similar file compressor.

Please note these qualifications replace the current Level 1-3 Certificates in Computerised Accounts (8956) and are available for centres to run from 1 September 2008.
