e-Quals 07 - IT Practitioners (7266 has been replaced by 7540)

We've been able to ensure that e-Quals 07 practitioner qualifications deliver the right skills for IT Professionals by working closely with industry experts.

The IT Practioner qualifications available at three levels:

Level 1 qualifications are for learners just starting out in their chosen career path or are new to the subject area.

• Level 2 qualifications widen your learners knowledge and develop existing skills. For some jobs this is the level at which learners would start.
• Level 3 qualifications are for learners with high level IT skills who may be working in a supervisory or management role.

Vendor qualifications from Cisco, CompTIA and Microsoft can also form part of these qualifications. 

e-Quals 07 has also been mapped to the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) so that employers know which units will provide the right skills. Each level provides a broad and flexible grounding in the skills required by IT Professionals, and offers a range of optional units to meet specific needs or areas of interest.

Centres are advised that the documentation contained within these pages is shared with the new International Vocational Qualifications in IT (7267). All of the documents are being rebranded to reflect this. UK centres do not need to do anything and scheme 7266 has not changed in any way.
