Because we believe in 24 hour access to learning and training for everyone, we want to make sure that no centre, training provider or candidate is missing out on the opportunity to carry out tests whenever they need to.   We have developed a programme for sharing GOLA systems, making them available to centres and training providers that don't have or are unable to provide the facilities, or that may have candidates studying via distance learning. This programme is called the GOLA network.

Joining the GOLA network and hiring out your system to other centres, is a cost-effective way to make use of your testing facilities and will help your centre generate the maximum possible return on IT investment.

How can we join the GOLA network?

All you need to do is meet the criteria for delivering assessments as set out in the City & Guilds Conduct of Examinations Policy. Plus, your centre will need to consider and perform key tasks as a testing provider.  Details of the criteria and tasks, plus further information on the GOLA network can be found in the related documents section at the bottom of this page.   If you are considering joining this network, you may be interested to know that City & Guilds is looking to tender contracts from third party organisations in order to build up a network of testing centres across the UK called the third party GOLA network.   So, instead of just investing in your facilities, why not join the network and look forward to seeing a return on them?
