Apprenticeships for Learners

Apprenticeships are all about learning on the job - combining valuable experience gained from actually doing the job with focused and relevant study. Oh and did we mention, you can earn at the same time too.

An Apprenticeship is made up of 3 elements:

  1. A Technical Certificate

These are classroom based awards, generally taken on a day-release basis. These will help you really get to grips with the skills and knowledge you need to really get ahead in your profession.

  2. A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)

Passing an NVQ proves that you can put into practice the skills and knowledge you learnt in the Technical Certificate.

  3. A Key Skills qualification

These help you develop six vital skills you will need in employment: communication, application of number, information technology, problem solving, working with others and improving your own learning.
