Introduction to Welding - QCF (No. 3268 )

QCF credits : 7

Welders join sections or plates of metal together by applying intense heat and must be able to spot errors and correct them immediately.

Sounds like your kind of thing? Our Awards in Welding Skills at Levels 1-3 cover basic through to advanced knowledge and techniques.

The qualification covers everything you need to know including:

  • Manual Metal Arc (MMA) Welding
  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding
  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding
  • Oxy-acetylene Welding
  • Flux Cored Arc Welding.

3268 is a direct replacement for the 3267 scheme at Levels 1 and 2. The Level 3 is a new development which covers pipe welding as well as sheet welding and is suitable for people who wish to advance their knowledge and techniques in welding.
