City & Guilds has an Award in Contact Dermatitis Prevention which has been designed to increase awareness of work-related contact dermatitis within industries where it's a high occupational risk. The qualification will help learners become aware of the risks and the preventative steps to take to reduce the possibility of developing contact dermatitis.

Who is it aimed at?

There are no age limits or formal entry requirements and the qualification is suitable for anyone working in beauty therapy, catering, cleaning, hairdressing or any industry that involves regular or prolonged 'wet working', or where there is the potential to develop contact dermatitis.

Qualification structure

The qualification is split into two units:

• Identify the characteristics and causes of contact dermatitis
• Explain how to prevent contact dermatitis.

How will I learn and be assessed?

Your learners will be taught via classroom learning and will be required complete one externally set and internally marked 45-minute multiple-choice test covering both units.

• NVQ Cleaning and Support Services (7698).
