Community Wardens - NVQ (No. 1978 )
This award is designed for community wardens, neighbourhood wardens and street wardens and will allow you to demonstrate that you have the skills and knowledge to do the job. Areas covered by this City & Guilds NVQ are: To achieve the level 2 qualification you must complete 6 mandatory and 2 optional units. Mandatory units: Information about the optional units can be found in the qualification handbook (pdf 0.68mb). Learners are assessed in the workplace performing real work activities. In addition to observation, there is a range of other methods of assessment such as expert witness testimony and simulation. Please refer to the qualification handbook (pdf 0.68mb) for more details. Centres approved to offer the qualification Level 2 NVQ in Community Wardens (1878) may apply for the new Level 2 NVQ in Community Wardens (1978) using the fast track approval form (doc 0.15mb). Please return all completed forms to your local City & Guilds office. Fast track approval is available for 12 months from the launch of the qualification. After this time, the qualification is subject to the standard Qualification Approval Process. Centres not yet approved by City & Guilds will need to gain both centre and qualification approval.
