How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed through a set of multiple choice questions.

This qualification is most suitable for those already offering:
- The Spectator Safety suite of qualifications as this will act as a stepping stone through to level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety.
- Level 1 Award in Preparation for Event Volunteering
- Level 1 Certificate in Sport and Leisure
- Level 2 VRQ in Industry and Organisational Awareness
Progression
The qualification can form part of the technical certificate for the Apprenticeship in Active Leisure and Learning.
It can also provide progression routes to the following qualifications:
- Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
- Level 2 Award in Industry and Occupational Awareness
- Level 3 NVQ in Leisure Management
Those using the Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events as a stepping stone to the Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety, after successful completion of the NVQ may wish to progress on to the following qualifications:
