Important changes to the Engineering Council Examinations
Engineering Council and City & Guilds have announced the end of the Engineering Council Examinations in their present form. The contract between City & Guilds and EC UK will come to an end in 2011 and one further attempt at the examination will be made available as a re-sit option in May 2012. For the project component, the final projects must be received by May 2012 to allow time for the reports to be marked and recorded.
The possibility of future similar awards being offered is currently under review and information will be available from City & Guilds in the summer of 2010.
The last date to sit a unit examination for the first time will be May 2011.
The last date to re-sit a unit examination will be May 2012.
The last date to submit the project proposal to City & Guilds Head Office will be 30 January 2012.
The last date to submit the project report to City & Guilds Head Office will be 20 May 2012.

Changes to the availability of some of the Engineering Council UK Examinations (9107) from 2010.
Following consultation between Engineering Council UK and City & Guilds, it has been agreed that the following eight examination modules will not be offered after May 2009.
