Keith Ward

Keith Ward holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, having been appointed Group Finance Director in June 2004.

Having started his career at British Aerospace, Keith has held a range of senior finance positions within large blue-chip organisations, including Thomson Financial, Primark Corporation, Datastream International and Dun and Bradstreet.  He has also worked as a consultant, and has overseen periods of significant change and growth, both organic and by way of acquisition.

Keith also has substantial international experience including periods spent living abroad in both Europe and North America. As Group Finance Director of Primark, he was responsible for all financial and administrative activities in Europe, the Pacific Rim and Australasia and travelled extensively as a consequence.

As you would expect, Keith sees his priority as ensuring that the City & Guilds Group is built on a strong financial and operational footing, and that it is well equipped to cope with the evolving demands of the marketplace.  He strives for a robust, efficient, commercially focused organisation achieving ambitious financial objectives without compromise to the core values which lie at its heart.
