Enhanced Functionality

We have made further improvements to the endorsed e-portfolio products NVQnow; Forward PLUS e-portfolio and learndirect e-portfolio:

Users can see at a glance what has been signed off as complete and where there are gaps by using the Summary report.  It provides a top level view of the number of items of evidence cross referenced against Performance Indicators and Knowledge helping.

Administrators and auditors can now search for a candidate by user name or number and quickly obtain an overall summary of all the assessment activity in relation to that candidate by using the Record of Assessment.

The e-portfolio automatically presents assessors with the e-mail addresses of everyone who can act as Expert Witness/Witnesses for a particular candidate so they can comment on and add evidence.

Case study

The Council for Administration (CfA) wanted an e-portfolio for delivering business administration NVQs and selected AIM.

As well as setting standards for the Business Administration sector they wanted an e-portfolio which enabled them to encourage best practice.

AIM's solution enables assessors and verifiers to make genuine judgements about evidence submitted - decision-making is not forced by tick boxes or evidence weighting.

CfA has also worked with AIM to develop new features including Expert Witness which allows a candidate and assessor to invite other vocationally competent workers to comment on specific evidence.
Plus, system reports enable an assessor and verifier to view from one page all assessment decisions and candidate progress, which makes learning how to use NOW.net very straightforward.
