International English Qualifications (IEQs)
City & Guilds International English Qualifications (IEQs) are a comprehensive range of quality English language awards designed for those who need a passport to work, study and travel around the globe. They are recognised by employers, educational institutions and professional bodies worldwide.
Our IEQs offer maximum flexibility and give training providers the opportunity to design their learners' progression towards language and communication proficiency in the skills and areas that they need. In order to promote transparency and ease of comparability between the levels they are mapped to the Common European Framework.
Learners can choose from our three suites of IEQs:
General English
International ESOL (CEFR A1-C2)
International Spoken ESOL (CEFR A1-C2)
Young Learners English
English for Young Learners (CEFR A1 and A2)
Spoken English for Young Learners (CEFR A1 and A2)
Business English
English for Business Communications (CEFR B2-C2)
Spoken English Test for Business (CEFR A1-C2)
English for Office Skills (CEFR B2 and C1)
We also offer an International ESOL Diploma (CEFR A1-C2) that is designed to benefit people of all abilities, introducing learners to all four language skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Qualifications

Type: International Duration: Usually 2-4 months per level Accredited to: 31/08/2015 Get the language skills you need to work or study in English-speaking countries with a City & Guilds International ESOL qualification.

Type: International Duration: Up to 3 months per level Accredited to: 31/08/2015 Get the language skills you need to work or study in English-speaking countries with a City & Guilds International Spoken ESOL qualification.

Type: International Duration: Varies The International ESOL Diploma (9992) is a combination of City & Guilds International ESOL (8984) and International Spoken ESOL (8985), and assesses all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Type: International Duration: n/a Boost your confidence and ability in communicating in business English with this internationally recognised qualification.

Type: International Duration: 8-16 minutes Demonstrate your ability and confidence in spoken English in the global workplace.

Type: QCF Duration: 6 months-1 year Boost your confidence and ability in communicating in English in the modern office with this internationally recognised qualification.

Type: International Duration: N/A This child-friendly qualification is ideal for young speakers of other languages who want to boost their English-language skills and vocabulary.

Type: International Duration: Varies This child friendly qualification is ideal for young speakers of other languages who want to boost their spoken English and vocabulary.

Type: International Access Certificate in English is ideal for those starting their career in English language teaching and also suitable for experienced English language teachers wishing to update their skills.
