Office Procedures - Vocational 1,2 (No. 8993 )
This qualification replaces the 8965 Office Procedures award. These awards are targeted at people who have worked, are working or propose to work in first-level clerical roles, those following full-time courses and those requiring basic knowledge. They cover general office work and the staff required, effective communications, office safety, basic procedures, simple filing systems and the use of machinery and equipment. Level 1 covers areas including communication styles and systems, good phone skills, simple letters and memos, handing mail, stationery and stock, purchase of goods, filing and indexing and text production and reprography. Level 2 includes topics such as organisation structures and functions, interpersonal communication skills, invoices, payments and stock control, expenses claims, varieties of business documents, and HR procedures.
