This QCA-approved Higher Professional Diploma is designed to prepare people for senior business administration roles and for positions with responsibility for managing business administration systems. . They will take six mandatory units covering generic skills and you can then select units to match their needs. The programme can be tailored to suit a particular focus, such as, finance, IT, or human resources. Options include quantitative data, budgeting and cost control, marketing, sales administration and customer service, purchasing and contracting with suppliers, recruiting and developing new staff, quality improvement, and ICT. Assessment is by means of assignment. It could form the first part (120 credits) of a related Foundation or Honours degree. Learners could also progress to the Master Professional Diploma in Strategy & Development at Level 7 which can be taken in a business administration context.
