City & Guilds named Top 100 Business Superbrand

City & Guilds has been officially named as a Top 100 Business Superbrand in the influential annual survey that identifies the UK’s strongest business-to-business brands.

Independently co-ordinated by The Centre for Brand Analysis, the annual Business Superbrands survey considers thousands of brands that are judged by both an Expert Council and over 1900 individual business professionals from across the UK. The brands are assessed on three key criteria: quality, reliability and distinction. City & Guilds has been ranked no. 92 out of 1500 which were shortlisted for the Business Superbrands list.

Russell Pocock, Group Head of Marketing at City & Guilds said:

‘To have gained a top 100 ranking in the Business Superbrands list alongside so many other excellent brands is a real honour. Over the past few years, we’ve done a lot to raise the profile of our brand and everything it stands for – helping people get into a job, progress on the job and move onto the next job. Our brand and heritage is incredibly important to us, so to  be recognised as a result of the hard work we’ve done to build the brand with employers and learners through our campaigns is truly fantastic.’

Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the Superbrands Expert Council said:

‘It is a huge achievement that City & Guilds has beaten tough competition to take its place in the prestigious 2013 Business Superbrands listing – the definitive annual survey of the UK’s strongest business brands.’
