This broad choice appeals to more employers and equips learners with the diverse skills needed to meet the changing demands of industry - in over 160 different job roles.

Million Extra is ambitious and optimistic and we can only achieve it by working together. Apprenticeship Extra is how we deliver you the extra tools and support to achieve this goal.
We have worked closely with many of our training providers to get a better understanding of what you need from your awarding organisation. In order to make your Apprenticeship offering more efficient, successful and attractive to learners and employers we have created Apprenticeship Extra.
Apprenticeship Extra is the most comprehensive and supported Apprenticeships offering from any awarding organisation, designed to put you in complete control of your vocational learning delivery. It boasts the flexibility and responsiveness required to meet the needs of any employer or learner.
Apprenticeships develop learners' technical skills and practical experience. All apprenticeship programmes are developed in close consultation with Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), ensuring that we help centres deliver the most up-to-date and relevant industry standard qualifications, assessment and support.
SASE (Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England) has introduced new mandatory requirements, which must be in place by April 2011.
Our focus is to make life easier for you. This begins from the start when switching to us and continues when working in partnership thanks to clear, straightforward and stream-lined support and administration. Whether you are completely new to City & Guilds or simply starting a new qualification as an existing customer, we are on hand to help make the process as stress-free as possible. Meaning you can be delivering with confidence, so much quicker. And you can now keep any existing Direct Claim Status when you switch.

Studying an Apprenticeship brings together the best of education and employment, allowing you build your career, learning while you earn, gaining recognised qualifications which prove to employers you can do the job.
Whilst gaining experience and proving you can do the job with an employer, you may also spend time with a college or training provider working towards Key Skills qualifications and in some cases a knowledge-based qualification.
