This qualification develops the skills and knowledge you'll need to do engineering work. It's internationally recognised, helping you work in a range of different countries and cultures.

There are pathways available for almost any speciality, from mechanical fitting to metal machining to electronic engineering. You'll cover general engineering principles and practice, plus the specialist skills you need in your particular line of work.

What's involved in delivering this course?

To deliver the IVQ Diploma in Engineering Skills you'll need to provide your learners with a suitable learning environment and the resources they need to complete the practical and theoretical aspects of the qualification. You will also need qualified internal assessors.

You will assess learners through a combination of multiple-choice examinations, practical demonstrations and assignments.
