These qualifications will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to work effectively in your role.

What's involved in delivering this course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Centres currently offering the City & Guilds NVQs in Community Development (3057) can gain fast-track approval.

There are no specific requirements although Level 2 candidates might have completed Level 1 and Level 3 candidates might have completed Level 2.

What's involved in studying this course?

Assessment will be assignments designed to map to the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

Which Level is right for me?

Level 1
This award has been designed to support learners who are new to community development work or learners who would like an introduction to working with community groups

Level 2
This award is designed to support learners who are already working within their community or who are involved in community activities in a paid or unpaid capacity.

Level 3
This award is a progression route from Level 2 and provides the learner with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the community development approach, as well as exploring group dynamics.
