International Vocational Qualifications

International Vocational Qualifications (IVQs)

Our range of IVQs are designed to measure the knowledge and practical skills of learners and are designed specifically for the international marketplace. There are two types, Craft and Technician, and they are available at three levels, Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. At the completion of each level if successful, learners are given a Certificate of Unit Credit and if all the levels are completed, you will be rewarded with a full award certificate.

International Vocational Qualifications are made up of one or both of the following elements:

Underpinning knowledge

The underpinning knowledge elements are examination based and are marked by City & Guilds. Multiple choice questions are generally used at the first level, with short answer and structured questions used for the higher levels.

Practical Competence

Competence is assessed through simulated practical assignments held by the centre in accordance with the syllabus requirements. An approved visiting verifier will visit the centre to ensure the quality of assessment is maintained throughout the course.
