Medals for Excellence 2006-2007 - 09 Apr 2007
In March 2006, the South West regional office were delighted to see nine medalists collecting their certificates and gold medals for all their hard work and dedication, this year consisting of 7 learners and 2 lecturers. The presentation lunch was set in the idyllic surroundings of Bindon House Hotel in Wellington.
We were lucky enough to have Rob Rees MBE, The Cotswold Chef as our guest speaker. Rob retold his story and his strong desire to fulfil his personal ambition to cook (Rob also started his career with a City & Guilds qualification).
The Medals for Excellence programme recognises and rewards exceptional people whose work makes them really stand out. A rigorous selection procedure follows and the final winners receive an exclusive Medal bearing the City & Guilds Award Seal designed in 1880.
