Late entry policy

A late entry is a dated entry that has been received and processed by City & Guilds after the last day of the month prior to the exam series e.g. from 30 April for the June series. From this date entries will be considered late and therefore incur late fees. This fee will vary depending on method of transaction and the time the entry is made.

Charges

Paper S Forms (Dated Examinations):

  • First day of the previous month of the exam to the seventh day: £45 per order plus £10 per Assessment entry
  • 8th day of the previous month of the exam to 14 days before the exam date: £45 per order plus £20 per Assessment entry.

Please note that paper entries must be with us before 1300 on a Friday in order to be processed before the Monday.

Entries will not be accepted within the 14 days prior to the exam date.

Electronic entries (Dated Examinations including Electronic S Form, Emailed EDI file and Walled Garden   EDI file upload and Walled Garden Shopping basket):

  • First day of the previous month of the exam to the seventh day: Free of charge
  • 8th day of the previous month of the exam to 14 days before exam date: £45 per order plus £10 per Assessment entry.

Processing of all order entry methods stop at 15.00 except for Walled Garden Shopping basket entries which stop at 23:59 on the previous working day before the deadline date.

Entries will not be accepted within the 14 days prior to the exam date.

For On Demand examinations (Paper or electronic BB form, Emailed EDI File, Walled Garden EDI file upload and Walled Garden Shopping basket):

  • The fee is £45 per order plus £20 per Assessment entry.

Additional candidates

  • For On Demand and Dated examinations: If additional candidates are added to the Invigilation Certificate on the date of the examination then you will be charged a late fee of £45 per order plus £20 per Assessment entry.

Invoicing

Late entry fees will now appear on normal entry invoices. Please be aware that there is no longer an upper limit cap of £250 on late fees.

Key Skills now follow the same rules as other City & Guilds tests outlined in the statement above.

Weekly tests (Basic Skills)

Late fees apply as per On Demand.  Entries must be received by us before 14 days prior to the exam date.  City & Guilds will only accept electronic entries for weekly tests.
