The diplomas in Professional Cookery are vocational qualifications available at levels 1 and 2 and development on the level 3 is currently under way. Together with both industry and education, City & Guilds have produced qualifications that take into account the latest approach to food safety, health and safety legislation and current industry practices. To work within the catering industry it is essential to have a good foundation in a wide range of high quality cooking skills and to be able to apply them across a range of catering contexts which the new qualifications have combined.
