This qualification has been developed for those wishing to train or work as butlers in a range of organisations such as private houses, quality hotels and for overseas employers. It was developed in conjunction with employers and covers the broad spectrum of tasks that butlers would be required to undertake.

It is a specialist qualification aimed at a small influential target market: private houses (the royal household), quality hotels, overseas employers (eg royalty) diplomats, industrialists and business magnates. It will largely be delivered by employers, although there will be take up from catering colleges who have strong links with the high quality end of the hospitality industry.
