Dame Patricia Morgan-Webb DBE FCGI

Dame Patricia Morgan-Webb was Principal and Chief Executive of Clarendon College Nottingham from 1991 to 1998 and of New College Nottingham from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that she had worked in teaching and management roles in four further education colleges in the West Midlands in urban and rural contexts. In 2000 she was awarded a DBE for her services to further education, the first honour at this level to be awarded to anyone working within this sector.

Dame Patricia served as a member of the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority from 1997 to 2002. She was a Board member of the East Midlands Regional Economic Development Agency from 1998 to 2004 and of the Derbyshire Learning and Skills Council .She has been special Professor at the University of Nottingham and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at The Nottingham Trent University in 2004. In 2003 she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of City & Guilds and serves on its Executive Committee, Council and International Committee.

Following retirement from her post as Principal/CEO of New College Nottingham in December 2003, Dame Patricia became a co-founder and Director of Morgan Webb Education Ltd, a company specialising in education brokerage and consultancy. She works nationally and internationally for the British Council, notably as a consultant for the government of South Africa in the development of its further education college sector, and has contributed as a keynote speaker and presenter at conventions in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and Africa. She is currently a specialist advisor to the House of Commons Select Committee for Education and Skills.
