Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) qualifications home

In September 2007 new government regulations were introduced in order to raise the standards of all teachers in the life long learning (further education) sector in England. The new regulations require all new teachers to gain professional status appropriate to their job role.

City & Guilds is here to help and support all centres and learners. We provide the full suite of qualifications to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to progress to the highest standard of further education teaching.
