Information on additional support materials

In addition to the updates that were announced in last month’s Newsletter, we have now completed the following improvements to the IEQ support materials:  

• English for Business Communications (8959) - The Qualification Guide has been revised to provide centres and candidates with more detailed information on the syllabus, as well as a set of sample answers. This has been posted on the website along with new booklets of Additional Sample Papers, which provide centres with an extra 3 sets of sample papers at each level of the qualification.
• International ESOL & Spoken ESOL (8984 & 8985) – There has been a slight technical delay in the production of the CD which contains two sets of practice papers.  These additional support materials should now be available by the middle of March.
• Spoken English Tests for Business (8981) – New sample papers are being finalised and are due for release at the end of March 07.

IEQ web page improvements

 As well as the updates to the support materials, we are also making improvements to the IEQ web pages in order to make them more dynamic, informative and easier to search.  As well as the new support materials that have already been added, soon centres and students will also be able to find: FAQs, links to publications, recommended reading materials, interesting articles and much more.  Details on the updates will be posted here.
