Higher Professional Diploma in Community Development - HLQ (No. 4463 )
This QCA-approved Higher Professional Diploma is aimed at individuals currently working in the community development sector or with a community development remit within another professional setting. The programme has been designed and produced in consultation with the Federation for Community Development Learning and focuses on core areas such as the key values, roles and principles in community development work, the community development approach and background, and research and policy relating to the sector. Assessment is by assignment. The HPD could form the first part (120 credits) of a related Foundation or Honours Degree programme. Candidates could also progress on to the Master Professional Diploma in Strategy & Development at Level 7 which can be achieved in a community development context.
