QTLS events
Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Framework (QTLS) 7303, 7304, 7305 Launch Events
During September and October 2007, City & Guilds ran a series of events aimed at Teachers, Tutors and Trainers in the Lifelong Learning sector (this did not inc. Skills 4 Life practitioner routes). The free of charge, full day events ran from 10:00 to 16:00. Materials, lunch and other refreshments were provided. There was a maximum of two delegates per centre to allow us to accommodate as many of centres as possible.
The purpose/overview of the day was to look at:
- Structure and content
- Working with and supporting centres in preparation for the introduction in September 2007
- Guidance on the registration and certification process
- Discuss the 4 main routes – generic teaching, ESOL, literacy and numeracy
- Transitional recognition of current qualifications
- CPD requirements.
Skills for Life qualification briefings
Theses events were aimed at Tutors and Skills for life NVQ Coordinators in the Skills for Life sector.
The purpose/overview of the day of this day was to look at:
- Rationale and structure
- Recruitment, initial assessment and guidance
- Assessment strategy
- Approvals
- Admin / registrations
- Minimum core.
