This award is the ideal introduction to the maintenance and repair of automotive vehicles.  It has routes for tyre fitting, general fitting, light vehicle, heavy vehicle and motorcycle maintenance, vehicle body repair and valeting with roadside recovery at level 2 and roadside assistance and recovery at level 3. 

Level 1 is the ideal starting point for learners with no previous qualification or knowledge of this area and is suitable for the 14+ age range.  Once you have completed level 1 you are then able to advance to level 2 and also take related NVQ/SVQs. 

Level 2 recognises that you will now be in a position to work on routine tasks with a lower level of supervision.  Both levels have 15 pathways, each of which is relevant to a specific role in the modern automotive industry.  These awards are also part of our automotive apprenticeship packages.
