Business Improvement Techniques - NVQ 2,3,4 (No. 2257 )

Today's business is eveolving at a rapid pace with more and more business recognising the value of stream lining business by applying the principles of Business Improvement Techniques to improve, stream line practices and create a culture of improvement . Traditionally these techniques were for manufacturing industries but the flexibility of this NVQ means that it is advantageous to all businesses.

The Business Improvement Techniques are based on industry national standards developed by the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies (SEMTA). They are also funded as part of Train to Gain

They include:

  • Project management
  • Continuous improvement
  • Lean production
  • Total productivity maintenance
  • Current manufacturing practice
  • Workplace organisation
  • Problem solving.

 

SEMTA’s revised qualification structure for B-IT Levels 2, 3 & 4 will come into effect as of 01.01.2008. City and Guilds new complex numbers for a full award are as follows:

Level 2: 2257-50
Level 3: 2257-51
Level 4: 2257-52

Level 3: 2257-96
Level 4: 2257-97
