If you’re already working in the plumbing industry and want to build on what you already know, then why not give it a try.
Type of work:
Practical, hands-on, skilled. On buildingsites, in people’s houses and other
buildings.
Who you could work for:
Small family-run companies, larger contractors or you could work for yourself.
Likely hours:
Daytime, but probably involving early starts or late finishes. You could alsobe called out at weekends.
Starting salary*:
Apprentice’s wages start low but qualified plumbers can earn over £20,000. If you run your own business, you set your own prices. Emergency call outs are extra.
