The growth of the ‘out of home’ beverage industry has increased dramatically over the past decade and the Barista is often the first point of contact with customers in the hospitality and tourism markets. 

The Level 2 award in Barista Skills is the only nationally recognised qualification of its type.  The qualification has been developed in conjunction with the Beverage Service Association who represent over 50,000 employees in the sector in the UK. 

Successful learners will be able to create the best beverage experience for the customer.  The qualification covers:

• products that make up the beverage
• preparation of beverages
• presentation of beverages
• serving of beverages
• customer service.
