We are pleased to announce that International ESOL (8984) and International Spoken ESOL (8985) have been accredited by the UK’s Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) under the new ESOL International criteria. These qualifications are now on the UK National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
By accrediting an examination QCA are confirming that the examination and the processes supporting its delivery meet specific quality criteria.

Accreditation normally lasts a fixed period, in this case three years.  At the end of this period if the criteria or qualification itself remain unchanged, the accreditation can be extended. You will of course be informed of any changes to the current situation before the accreditation end date 30/04/2010

As a result of gaining this accreditation there will be slight changes to the titling of these qualifications (details below). These changes will take operational effect on the certificates issued for this award from the 1st August 2007.

There will also be a slight modification to the Qualification Handbooks to ensure that they contain the QCA qualification numbers. Updated versions of the handbooks will be available from the web site from the 1st July 2007.
