As we approach the launch of our new QTLS qualifications for teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, we are stepping up our communication to centres by producing a monthly PDF newsletter to help centres understand the launch, roll-out and implementation of the new qualifications

The newsletter acts as information source for centre staff around England. It can be viewed interactively online (allowing you to link to the related web pages and section of the newsletter). It is also intended for print and circulation to those who will need to understand what's going on.

Take a look at our August 2007 QTLS Newsletter PDF (0.23mb) . This first issue is packed with the following information:

• Latest news
• a general overview of the changes
• Summary of the new qualifications available
• QTLS 'progression map' 
• a 'Tariff' of existing legacy qualifications and what’s happening to them
• Information for HR and senior managers
• Timeline of developments
• Centre support events for Sept / Oct 07.     

Small amendments were made to the original version on 12/09/2007. We will release newsletters when appropriate, until centres feel comfortable in their understanding and implementation of the new QTLS framework of qualifications.
