Microsoft & e-Quals 07 for IT Users
IT User Partnership with Microsoft Office Specialist
By incorporating Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) units into the e-Quals 07 Level 2 and Level 3 IT User qualifications, we’re giving learners the chance to add both e-Quals 07 and Microsoft qualifications to their CVs.
When the learner passes the MOS test, City & Guilds will accept this as proof of their skills in that area, which means they won’t have to repeat the work all over again through the e-Quals 07 tests.
| City & Guilds e-Quals 07 | Microsoft Office Specialist |
|---|---|
| Using word processing software to adapt and merge documents | Word Core |

| Designing and producing spreadsheets to analyse information | Excel Expert |
The assessment
We have provided an alternative e-Quals 07 syllabus that meets the requirements of the Microsoft Office Specialist course. The learner would then take the MOS tests for these units. You can email supacdmy@microsoft.com for further information.
-02/52 and -03/53 complexes
Candidates will need to complete both the IT Principles assignment and on-line test for these routes.
-72 and -73 complexes
Candidates will only need to successfully complete the IT Principles assignment and the relevant Microsoft Office Specialist test(s).
To take advantage of this arrangement, centres must be:
- A City & Guilds centre, approved to offer the relevant e-Quals 07 assessments
- A Microsoft IT Academy
