From Monday 19 November, City & Guilds is introducing a new online shopping facility to an initial number of  Walled Garden users.

All online orders (such as candidate registrations and result entries) will be made using this new facility, while at the same time, access to place new orders via the old style Walled Garden will gradually be withdrawn over the coming five weeks.

This facility brings together a number of new benefits for users with the 'Exams' or 'MIS' profiles, including ...

• Easy to use screens, designed to simulate other internet shopping websites
• Powerful search tools to help you quickly find qualifications and candidates 
• Real-time creation of candidate enrolment numbers
• The ability to group candidates into ‘cohort’ groups for easy ordering and tracking of orders
• The facility to submit and track EDI orders through the Data Services section.

If you have already received notification welcoming you to 'Online shopping on the new Walled Garden', an online tutorial has been made available to explain the benefits of the system and to guide you through the new screens. We strongly recommend that you take the time to view this tutorial before placing your first orders. 
 
To start using the new functionality:

1. Click on the new full Walled Garden tutorial, to view detailed demonstrations including 'Try It' yourself exercises.
2. When you are ready to place an actual order, log onto http://www.walled-garden.com/ .
3. Click on Catalogue/Shop on the top menu bar of the new Walled Garden. You will then be able to access the new Shopping basket and Cohort management functionality.

Important - please note: If you have not already received a notification email, do not worry! We are introducing this system to Walled Garden users in batches over the coming five weeks, so you will receive a notfication email and be able to access the new Shopping basket shortly. Please also watch this space for updates...
