To make life simpler for our centres we have now combined all the separate qualification parts of catering and hospitality apprenticeship, into one single point of registration: 9713 City & Guilds Advanced Apprenticeship in Catering and Hospitality . This means a centre is no longer required to register a candidate separately for each constituent part: the NVQ, the Technical Certificate and the Key Skills.

 Our Advanced Apprenticeship in Catering and Hospitality is available in a variety of pathways as outlined below:

NVQ

Candidates must take one of the following NVQs

• NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery – 7083-01 / 7083-51
• NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (Patisserie and Confectionery) – 7083 -02 / 7083-52
• NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (flexible) – 7083-03 / 7083-53
• NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision – 7247 -30
  

Key Skills

Plus

• Level 2 Application of Number
• Level 2 Communications
  

Technical Certificate

The knowledge based element of the framework will be covered by independent assessment of the underpinning knowledge contained within the NVQ. This can be assessed either by paper based or via GOLA our on-line assessment tool.

Candidates are also expected to take part in an Induction covering workplace Employment Rights and Responsibilites (ERR). Proof of the induction process having taken place will be required when claiming certification.
