This Higher Professional Diploma is suitable for people who are aspiring to, or seeking recognition of, a management role within the travel and tourism industry. Candidates can choose from a wide range of contexts, including managing travel and tourism operations, marketing tourism, leisure travel, conference and event management and visitor attractions. The qualification also covers broader management skills in, for example, the recruitment and selection of travel and tourism staff, financial management, and strategic customer service. Assessment is by assignment. This qualification could form the first part (120 credits) of a related Foundation degree. Candidates could also progress to the Master Professional Diploma in Strategy & Development at Level 7 which can be achieved in a travel and tourism context.
