Full Technological Diploma
Attention international students, do you have a vocational diploma and an advanced diploma? If so, did you know you can upgrade this for a Full Technological Diploma? With a 4 year basic vocational qualification plus an additional subject at advanced level, you could be well on your way to holding the prestigious Full Technological Diploma.
How does it work?
The option to upgrade to a Full Technological Diploma is open to anyone who has already achieved a vocational diploma and advanced diploma, who is an international student not studying in the UK and whose job role is of a supervisory nature.
Secondly, you need to be currently employed in the area in which you are applying for your Full Technological Diploma as follows:
- Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering (scheme no. 2720)
- Telecommunication Systems – applied (scheme no. 2730)
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering – applied (scheme no. 8030)
- Motor Vehicle Engineering and Management – applied (scheme no. 3905)
- Applied Mechanical Engineering (scheme no. 2565)
- Construction – applied (scheme no. 6165)
- Applied IT (scheme no. 7235)

Making your application
Firstly, you will need to ensure you have evidence to support your application. A portfolio of evidence is required that covers at least two years of your on the job experience, demonstrating that your supervisory skills and your general work experience is on par with the syllabus for advanced diploma you undertook. Your portfolio of evidence must also include:
- letters from each of your previous employers confirming your evidence of work experience
- a copy of your CV
- and any other evidence you fell is important.
Next, simply complete and return to us, a copy of your FTD application form. There is a charge for application of £75 - this covers the administration and issuing of your new certificate.
