Unsure what this all means for you and your centre?

In spring/summer 2008 we ran a series of successful events for centres to introduce and discuss credit frameworks, which are being introduced in England, Northern Ireland and Wales*. These events were aimed at Head Senior Curriculum Managers.

This event was free with materials, lunch and other refreshments provided. Limited spaces were available and due to demand places a maximum of two delegates per centre.

* In Wales the QCF will form part of the larger Credit and Qualifications Framework Wales (CQFW). Scotland operate their own Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). Therefore, points marked with * will be adapted to meet the requirements of each country.

Purpose/Overview of the event

The event covered:

• An introduction to credit frameworks (QCF*)
• Qualification and unit structure changes*
• IT requirements and the e-Leaner Achievement Record (LAR)*
• Tests and trials feedback*
• Centre support

Followed by a Q&A session.

• *Cardiff, Wales (CQFW) – 3 July 2008 (fully booked)
• Taunton, South West – 7 July 2008 (fully booked)

Please note

Although the event is free a non-attendance fee of £50 will be invoiced to your centre if you do not cancel your confirmed place, five working days prior to the event taking place.

Places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, so please ensure your booking form is returned no later than two weeks prior to the event.
