Focus on funding: learner support
City & Guilds continue to press for a resolution to the funding support issues some of our diploma learners are encountering from their local authorities.
We have been assured that we will receive a way forward from DIUS within the next two weeks.
This arrangement is being pursued following a DIUS announcement that under the new framework, all diploma learners were eligible to apply for funding support – formerly only accessible to university students.

New optional units
The following new optional units are now available for the 7305 Diploma:
- Professional development planning (level 4 and level 5) – 15 credits
- Developing management skills (level 5) – 15 credits.
