Qualifications in the Security industry

Public concern and Government initiatives to create a safer environment and to address the security threats of terrorism have thrown the spotlight on the security sector. The new Security Industry Authority for England & Wales (the SIA) sets out to transform the industry and its licence to practise will be mandatory for most people working in the sector.

City & Guilds, in partnership with leading bodies within the United Kingdom security industry (BIIAB, BPA, Maybo, and Skills for Security), offers the most comprehensive range of qualifications in this sector. These awards not only support the UK's security regulatory body, The Security Industry Authority (SIA), and its Licences to Practice requirements, but provide vocational pathways in many other related areas, such as Parking and Conflict Management.
