Nick Worthington - Aeronautical Engineer

Jobs here are sought after, and it's no wonder. 

Working on such a big aircraft is pretty amazing. The wing of the new Airbus A380 45.1 metres, and I'm working on the leading edge.  I got into Airbus UK as an apprentice, studying City & Guilds Aeronautical Engineering on day release at Deeside College.

The College is well equipped to train people for industry, and with its help I've been Airbus UK Apprentice of the year, Welsh Apprentice of the year and won City & Guilds Medal for Excellence.  But I'm not relaxing - with 160 Airbuses already on order, I'll have my work cut out here for a little while yet.
