City & Guilds are currently seeking Examiners to assess for:
The City & Guilds 2391-10 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
Examiner duties include:
- marking exam scripts
- attending marking standardisation meetings
- writing an examiners report following each series of marking.
Examiners work to timescales established by the industrial sector they're working with. Marking currently takes place seven times a year for this qualification, although not all examiners are required for every series.
To be a City & Guilds examiner you should:
- hold a 2391-01 or -10 certificate, and a wiring regulations qualification, preferably either the 2382-10 or 2382-20
- ideally hold the 2391-02 or -20, or a similar design, erection and verification qualification, although this is not essential
- have excellent, up-to-date subject knowledge in relation to electrical installation and testing
- maintain high quality standards
- be passionate about vocational education and helping people reach their full potential
- display good written and verbal communication skills
- be well organised and able to keep to deadlines.

Full training and support will be provided. Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day in London on 19 May.
